Start from the green pointer A.
Go to the D577 and turn right. Go to the junction
with the A84 motorway. Turn onto the A84, towards
Caen, and come off at the next junction (no. 43) into
Villers-Bocage, the scene of very heavy fighting in
the weeks after the landings, being won and lost many
of times before being finally liberated in August
1944.
Pass through Villers-Bocage and take the D6 to Bayeux,
a beautiful town, famous for the Bayeux Tapestry.
From Bayeux take the D516 to Arromanches-les-Bains.
